Tornado 5.4 / Honda four stroke 90hp / Indespension Rollercoaster braked trailer

Upon first inspection, this RIB looks like it is 5 years old as opposed to 22 years! The condition of the hull and tubes is remarkable. We originally manufactured this boat and the RIB came back to us to fit two new rubber end cones to the sponsons, which can perish overtime. New patches and lifelines were also fitted.  THIS IS A 22 YEAR OLD BOAT WITH WEAR AND TEAR ONE WOULD EXPECT, IT HAS CLEARLY BEEN VERY WELL CARED FOR AND IS "IMMACULATE FOR ITS AGE AND USE"

We are informed that this entire rig was purchased new from Barnet Marine in 1999 (original bill of sale present). The original owner was a retired Naval Engineer and the documentation and history provided is extensive. For the initial 14 years of ownership, the rib was dry stored in the owners’ garage and used once / twice per year for family gatherings. The current owner purchased the rib in 2013 to provide safety duty for his son’s dinghy racing, which primarily involved slow speed support work. Whilst the engine hours are unknown, the current owner informs us that the hours would likely to be in the low hundreds. For the last 5 years, the RIB has been used once or twice per year and stored under a bespoke breathable cover (new in 2015).

The outboard was professionally serviced up to 2015 (when hydraulic steering was added) and then annually by the current owner only using genuine Honda marine engine and gearbox oil and required parts. A full set of Honda engine anodes was fitted in 2020 along with a new thermostat. The sale includes a ‘set’ of different pitched props including a genuine stainless steel example. The owner advises that, without fail, the outboard has been properly flushed and cleaned after every outing.

The trailer has been well maintained with over £1000 of new parts fitted in 2013 and then a ¾ re-galvanisation in 2014. In 2020, the wheel bearings were replaced and bearing buddies fitted along with new tires. New Bowden cables were also fitted in 2020.
